We’ve previously blogged about how our use of drones is helping our technicians to operate more efficiently and keep them safe when working at height, and now we’re equipping all field staff with another piece of technology to make them even more professional.
We’ve invested in iPads for our technicians to assist them when visiting clients at their premises. The iPads will help them to carry out and record in-depth site audits while they are on the road rather than writing it on paper and transferring it online when they return to the office. They will also be able to easily show customers photos taken of their pest related problems so that the solution can be discussed while the technician is on-site.
“It’s really important to us that we adopt the use of new technologies to make our staff even more professional and efficient,” said Harvey Environmental Services managing director, Martin Harvey.
“We have developed our own app which is really easy to use on iPads, allowing our technicians to perform in-depth surveys while they are visiting clients and then clearly show them the results and discussing the solutions. This has been really popular with both our existing and new clients, and is something which we are keen to develop further in the future.
“iPads are also playing an important role in helping our clients perform well in their APC and BRC audits. The more thorough our staff are at recording their visits at the time they are on-site, the better it is when the auditors ask to look at paperwork and the more likely clients are to receive high grades.”
