You would, of course, expect all our pest control technicians to hold mandatory BPCA qualifications, but now we are going one step further and our office staff are also studying for an industry accreditation.

Deborah Wood and Debbie Kovacs, familiar voices to customers who ring Harvey HQ, are undertaking the RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management, which delivers an understanding of public health pests and their management. It is a requirement for BPCA pest control technicians to hold this qualification but currently it is not a mandatory qualification for administration staff working in the pest control industry.

“Deborah and Debbie are the first point of contact for many of our customers so we felt it was important they had a good understanding of common pest and public health issues and current legislation,” said Martin Harvey.

“Achieving this professional qualification will enable Deborah and Debbie to work more efficiently and effectively and will improve the already high quality service we deliver to customers and potential customers.
