Fagan & Whalley Ltd, a modern logistics provider offering a first-class service with the highest quality equipment, is celebrating receiving an AA grading in its recent BRC Storage and Distribution audit.
The company, which is celebrating its 90th year in business in 2017, opened a new 92,000 square foot distribution warehouse at Burnley Bridge Business Park in August this year to accommodate the growing demand for its services.
Being part of the food supply chain, it is essential it holds the British Retail Consortium global standard accreditation and so they called on the services of Harvey Environmental Services to ensure this happened
“We appointed Harvey Environmental Services because of their clear knowledge and understanding of the BRC requirements,” said Martyn Richardson, Compliance Manager at Fagan & Whalley.
“They were supportive during our pre-audit preparation and always went the extra mile to ensure we were fully prepared. We were delighted with the professionalism and service shown by the Harvey team and have extended their contract to cover our Coventry depot.”
Fagan & Whalley’s new purpose built depot in Burnley has 10 loading bays, 25,000 pallet locations and parking for 80 trailers. Initially delivering coal from the local railway station, Fagan & Whalley now transports textiles, armaments, automotive, aeronautical and general machinery, carpets and flooring, packaging materials, construction supplies and fast-moving consumer goods.

“We worked with them in the period leading up to the first inspection of their new premises to ensure all their paperwork was in place and that they were adhering to good operating practices.
